What do I have to know before the first use?

Before the first use, the hair tie is removed, if present. The training heads are immediately ready for use after hair washing. The head should only be washed in the falling direction of the hair. When combing the hair for the first time, a first slight hair loss is harmless. Always brush out any hairspray and styling residues before any further use.

Storage
Before each use, you should thoroughly brush out any spray and styling residue. Never let your training head dry without carefully combing it, and do not expose it to excessive heat or cold for long periods of time. Do not leave rollers on your practice head longer than necessary, the permanent tension can loosen the hair. Avoid storing your training head in plastic bags with wet hair.

Cleaning & care
Wash the hair of your training head in the direction of fall with a non-alkaline shampoo and lukewarm water. Avoid strong pulling and rubbing, the hair was implanted by hand. Rinse out the shampoo residue thoroughly and then treat the hair with a conditioner or finishing care. Comb the hair with a wide comb, starting from the tips to the roots and squeeze out the remaining moisture with a towel. When combing through, slight hair loss is harmless.

Chemical treatments
Please note that the hair from your training head may already have been chemically treated. Our training heads with real hair (goat, yak and horse hair are also clearly defined and labeled by us) can differ in the result from those with 100% human hair. Test strands are recommended to preview chemical treatment results.

Coloring
The hair of our training heads can basically be dyed with all common hair colors and direct dyes. Protect the skin of your training head from color by using a barrier cream and carefully mask the contour area. If color does get on your skin, please remove it immediately. The use of heating devices in connection with oxidative paints should be avoided. Bleaching hair that is already light blonde is not recommended.

Reshaping
Training heads from Square. One can be treated with any commercially available reshaping. Use products that are recommended for colored and damaged hair. Chemical reshaping of manikin heads with lightened and extra long hair is not recommended. Our training heads with mixed and synthetic hair are not suitable for reshaping and permanent waves.

Synthetic & mixed hair
A maximum temperature of 120° Celsius is recommended for styling your training head with synthetic or mixed hair. Practice heads with mixed hair can conditionally be dyed darker.
